What Intershop's 2026 analyst medals actually mean for your business

Proof, not promises

Intershop, our technology partner, was awarded 8 gold and 3 silver medals in the Paradigm B2B Combine 2026, placing in the top two tiers across 11 of the 12 evaluated categories.

It's a strong achievement. But the headline numbers aren't the most interesting part. What really matters is what improved and why those improvements matter for B2B organizations that are evaluating Intershop or already running their commerce platform on it.

8 gold, 3 silver, 11 of 12 categories

The result

Andy Hoar’s Paradigm B2B Combine is one of the few analyst reports built specifically around enterprise B2B commerce. It evaluates vendors across 38 detailed criteria in 12 categories, from Total Cost of Ownership to Site Search and Sales & Channel Enablement.

Intershop received a medal in every category except one, and every category that changed this year improved rather than declined. Notably, it earned an additional gold medal in Sales & Channel Enablement, while the report highlighted its AI-enabled search powered by SPARQUE.AI and its progress toward agentic commerce.

Three scores worth a second look

Why it matters

We implement and maintain Intershop platforms every day, so we want to translate these results into what they actually mean in practice.

Sales & Channel Enablement, gold again.

This category measures how easily sales teams, service teams and channel partners can work within the platform, from placing orders on behalf of customers and managing quotes to handling complex pricing scenarios. A stronger score here points to fewer manual workarounds and less operational friction for internal teams.

AI-enabled search is no longer a demo feature.

The report’s focus on SPARQUE.AI and agentic commerce reflects something we are already seeing in projects: B2B buyers expect the same search experience they know from consumer platforms, even when working with far more complex product catalogs. This has become a true differentiator rather than a nice-to-have.

Total Cost of Ownership remains gold.

For a platform investment you may rely on for 5–10 years, this is arguably one of the most important categories to monitor. The fact that Intershop continues to perform strongly here is a reassuring signal.

A medal isn't a project

The caveat

An analyst medal is not a guarantee of project success. that still depends on factors such as scoping, integration quality and the implementation partner you choose.

What it does provide is meaningful, independent confirmation that the platform continues to invest in the capabilities that matter most for complex B2B environments. That is exactly why we have built our practice around it.
