Fenego implements Rigby & Peller lingerie shop

 A unique shopping experience.

The Belgian Van de Velde NV is a major name in the sector of luxury lingerie for women. With its own top brands such as Marie Jo, PrimaDonna and Andres Sarda, the company achieved sales of over 182 million euros in 2012. Via the online styling concept Rigby & Peller, Van de Velde wishes to extend its success across national borders as well. The lingerie specialist hired Fenego for the implementation of a large-scale commerce platform.

For Van de Velde, it´s important to add personal advice to online shopping.

Van de Velde focused its efforts in 2012 on the German market with the Rigby & Peller webshop. It was the very first step in an omni-channel market approach. The objective? To build up a successful webshop with around 14,000 different luxury lingerie products.

Unique online shopping experience

In Belgium, Van de Velde is known for its high-quality lingerie products and outstanding in-store service. When it comes to lingerie, it isn´t always easy to determine the right shape and size, so for Van de Velde´s omni-channel approach it was vitally important to be able to offer a personal online service as well. Another challenge was to manage different products and a variety of brands in a single platform.

Intershop 7.2

The first contact between Philippe Vertriest - Business Development Director of Van de Velde - and Fenego dates from 2012. Less than a year later Fenego rolled out an immaculate webshop on the basis of the powerful Intershop 7.2.

In order to be able to offer a personal approach online as well, Fenego developed a styling function with which customers can choose the right lingerie on the basis of their personal preference, figure and occasion (for example, bridal lingerie). Afterwards, a potential customer is also offered accompanying accessories or similar lingerie sets.

Furthermore, Fenego also integrated wish lists and comparison tables. And to make it as easy as possible for the customer, Rigby & Peller is optimized for mobile devices. In addition, the webshop has obtained a Trusted Shops certificate, so that new customers can be confident that their payment will be secure and delivery guaranteed.
