Fenego builds ICI PARIS XL webshop with over 13,000 products

With an amazingly extensive range of perfumes, cosmetics and skin care products, ICI PARIS XL is the beauty specialist in the Benelux. The perfume chain has 118 branches in Belgium, 169 stores in the Netherlands and 4 shops in Luxembourg. The company called on Fenego to roll out a professional, umbrella webshop.

ICI PARIS XL provides offline services online as well.

ICI PARIS XL wants to offer this personalized approach and extra service not only offline, but online as well. On the basis of these starting points, the beauty specialist selected Fenego to build a flexible webshop.

Intershop 6.4

Fenego opted for Intershop Enfinity Suite 6.4 to implement the webshop. For the presentation of the products, Fenego connected the platform to the central system of AS WATSON, the owner of ICI PARIS XL. On the basis of the information from the import files, all products are linked to a category and brand without the intervention of a content manager.

Focus on prices and promotions

Because prices and promotions are very important for a retailer such as ICI PARIS XL, the client decided to work - just as in the stores - with gross and net prices. ICI PARIS XL also wanted its more than 20 unique promotions to always take place simultaneously, both offline and online. A link with an Oracle database ensures that this is possible.

Several delivery options

As soon as a customer has placed one or several products in the shopping basket, ICI PARIS XL offers three possible delivery methods: to the customer´s home, at a Post Point or to an ICI PARIS XL store in the vicinity. For the second option, Fenego worked out a cooperation with local partners (DHL and bPost). The third possibility is a great example of a “buy online pick up in store” option.

Gift packaging

Fenego has also provided the option to have a purchased product gift-wrapped, just as in the store. It´s even possible to add a personal message. In order to pay quickly and securely, ICI PARIS XL opted for an Ogone integration.

Mobile, too

Since 2013, ICI PARIS XL has had an optimized website so that customers can very easily place orders via smartphone or tablet as well. This mobile site allows customers - with a tap and a swipe – to select products, choose a delivery method and pay.
